About the Founder
Stone & Sky Adventure Media was founded by Tennessee outdoorsman, veteran, and storyteller James Thomson. With a lifelong love of the outdoors—from off-road trails and backcountry camps to quiet mornings on the water—James built Stone & Sky to capture the places and experiences that make adventure unforgettable. As a veteran and FAA Part 107 licensed drone pilot, he brings discipline, precision, and safety to every project.
Using cinematic drone footage, photography, and visual storytelling, he helps landowners, realtors, and outdoor brands showcase their properties and experiences in a way that feels authentic and alive. For James, this work isn’t just about cameras and drones—it’s about sharing the beauty of the landscape, the freedom of the open sky, and the stories waiting just beyond the next bend in the trail.
